Preventative Care
Most pets, at some point in their lives, experience discomfort caused by external parasites. Fleas, ticks, and mites are examples. They can be extremely irritating to your pets skin and ears, and also carry diseases.
“Modern medicines make treatment control and prevention of many external parasites much easier than in the past.”
AVMA
It is more cost-effective to prevent parasites than to exterminate them on your pet, or in your home. It is also cheaper and easier to prevent than to cure.
Heart worms are transmitted through infected mosquitos. Once your pet is heart worm positive, treatment is long, arduous on you and your pet, and expensive.
**The Walton Animal Clinic offers rebates, ranging from $7-$20 on heart worm treatments. Seasonal promotions are available on flea and tick products.
